Promises Kept

Rescue and Refuge

“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
He is my God, and I trust Him.”
Psalm 91:1-2 NLT.

3 ”He will rescue you from every trap and protect  you  from deadly disease.
He will cover you with His feathers.
He will shelter you with His wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.”
Psalm 91:3-4 NLT.

My thoughts today are about, “Promises Kept.”

When you shelter in God, you are  persuaded of both His promises and His power. You are free to live with assurance. Your personal experience of God’s love produces a confident profession of who God desires to be in your life. On that unshakable foundation, a victorious life can be lived.

Whatever your present circumstance, God is true to His eternal character. In accord with His Word, your Father is trustworthy. “Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. 21 He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.” Romans 4:20-21 NLT.

I love this verse, ”For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding, ‘Yes!’” 2 Corinthians 1:20 NLT. Let’s look a little further into Psalm 91. “He alone is my Refuge. My place of safety.” I write this when our global world battles a pernicious virus infection. Pandemic is a frightening word. When all else is unsure and unsafe, our God Himself is our shelter. When you align your faith-confession with God’s Word, your words have authority and power that no others’ can equal. Then and there you will find refuge and safety in rich fellowship with Him.

Solomon wrote, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him. And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJ. “He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” Psalm 91:3-4 NLT. Stay in the Word. Stand on the Word,

As we study this Psalm across the coming days, consider where you need to trust God in your daily life? Relationships? Finances? Health? Speak God’s truth into any situation that lacks His presence and power.

God is a promise keeper. Always has been. Always will be. “For ALL the promises of God in Christ are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJ. His Word is Truth. Trust the Truth. Speak the Truth. Live by the Truth. God’s Truth is empowered by the Holy Spirit and your sincere confession of His Word. God and His Word were true yesterday, are true today, and will be true every day that follows.

”Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything He had spoken came true.” Joshua 21:45 NLT. God’s truth in your heart, your trust in His Word, and your meditation on His Word, possess the power to establish your beliefs, direct your behavior, and secure your soul.

My prayer for you today is to know that God’s Word is His promises kept.
